IMPORTANT SCHEDULING NOTE

Please try to schedule a flight arriving into Provo no later than 5 PM in the spring, summer or fall and 4 PM in the winter. Also, please schedule a departing flight leaving Provo no earlier than 9 AM. This is necessary to permit daylight transfers to and from Pine Cay, thus avoiding overnight stays on Provo. Should it prove impossible to meet this schedule, we will be happy to arrange accommodations for you at one of the hotels on Provo at a discounted rate.

TRANSFERS TO PINE CAY

Our secluded location is one of our biggest attractions, but it means that getting here is not just a simple drive from the airport. That’s not a bad thing, since there are some interesting sights to see along the way and this can be a nice start to your island vacation.

Having experienced some scheduling problems with local air transport, we now strongly favor boat transportation. For all paying guests staying at the hotel for at least seven (7) nights, boat transfers between Pine Cay and Provo, in a safe, dry and comfortable boat, with complimentary rum punch or soft drinks, are included. Also included are taxi fares for the 20-25 minute ride between the airport and the dock in Leeward.

All other guests are charged for boat transfers and must pay taxi fares. Current charge for one-way boat transfer is $200, allocated between all paying passengers. Taxi fare is typically $35, one way.

You may also elect to arrange a flight through a local air carrier from the Provo airport to Pine Cay (and back). Current one-way rates are $275-$450, depending on the carrier and the size of the plane. Upon request, we will arrange air transfers, at your own risk, with one of the local carriers and add the cost to your account.

Please be aware that all transfers, by boat or plane, must be completed during daylight hours. Although our landing strip on Pine Cay has lights, by local law planes can only take off or land here at night in an emergency. For safety reasons, we only operate our boats during the daytime. See note above concerning the need to schedule your commercial flights to and from Provo with these facts in mind. In the rare instance where your arrival into Provo is delayed and a daylight transfer to Pine Cay becomes impossible, we will make arrangements for you to overnight in a Provo hotel and meet you by boat first thing in the morning. We regret that we cannot assume financial responsibility for delays beyond our control, however.
